Early game (first hour)
- Dumpsters — Kefir increased dumpster cash at launch; zero risk. “Bins” have their own chapter in Callmetrouble87’s money video.
- Corner stores, liquor stores, pharmacies — few clerks, easy alarms (heists). One player’s quiet picks: the liquor store on the north-east coast, the bar on the small south-west pier, and the five Loraine Hills mansions.
- Sell at high Notoriety. The fence pays more the longer your spree runs: +10% at level 2 up to +50% at level 5 (fan data; a launch-week video quotes the same 50% from the in-game manual). Notoriety resets when you leave the city.
- Target kit: one player suggests an SMG, armour and plates (~60,000 total), which takes 1–3 successful sales.
Charge-up items (buy cheap, sell high)

Mid game
- Cargo — crates, safes, suitcases, statues. Sell unopened to the smuggler’s van or open it at your own cargo workbench; since the Nov 5 balance patch opening it yourself pays more but takes time → selling loot.
- ATM events — highlighted on the map, worth 150,000–500,000 (✅ two guides), and every criminal and cop in the city sees them.
- Bigger targets — the Art Gallery, banks and gas-station hidden rooms need tools from the barter door (heists).
Late game: money while offline
- Base businesses — grow rooms, labs, contraband. Kefir “massively increased” their profits at launch. Lab tip from a guide: freezing concentrate into crystals triples its value ⚠️.
- Settlement taxes — owners collect from everyone laundering or buying on the Black Market in their settlement; collect at the settlement’s collector van (power pyramid).
- Cops — no risk to your own gear, lower pay (cops).
Keep it
Open a bank account early and launder. Carried cash is lost on death, arrest — and, players reported on Nov 6, server restarts.
