You get out of prison with nothing, crash at Lenny's motel and have seven days before the Federal Raid wipes the server. This guide is built for that week: when fresh servers open, what actually makes money, how to keep it, and how the climb from Hobo to Shadow Governor works. Facts come from Kefir's Steam announcements first, then players' tested reports — each page lists its sources and the date it was checked, and says when the game changed.

Servers & wipes
- How to change servers in ROB RUNKefir's help center: open the world map, choose the prison, select Surrender to Feds, and once inside switch to your friend's server — then send the party invite again. Servers are called states. Switching confiscates everything you own in the old state and removes you from your clan; tattoos and BCoin carry over. Pick your server with friends before you build anything.

If the number looks normal for the time of day, the servers are up. ROB RUN has two regions, EU and East US; a fresh server opens every day in each — EU at 5 PM UTC, East US at 8 PM ET.
- ROB RUN wipe schedule: 7-day cycles, fresh servers and the prison sentenceEvery seven days the Federal Raid wipes your server: plots, bases, weapons and cash are turned into jail time and Authority; you keep cosmetics, your name, tutorial progress, settings and your accumulated jail time. There's no single wipe time for the whole game: new servers open every day — EU at 5 PM UTC, East US at 8 PM ET — and each runs its own week. The more you own at the wipe, the longer the sentence. Kefir says the seven-day length could change later.

In launch week the game went from about 22,000 players on day one to an all-time peak of about 64,000 on Nov 6 (SteamDB). The daily low comes in the European early morning, the peak in the European evening.
- ROB RUN patch notes and updatesThe latest ROB RUN change is the Nov 5 police & economy balance patch: at most 4 cops per city, pistols-only for cops in a fresh server's first 30 minutes, higher cop pay (mostly cash), pricier land documents, houses and cars, and cargo worth more opened than sold. It followed the Nov 4 launch patch: slower cop respawns and buyable police badges, pistols only for cops on fresh servers, Tier 1 land paid in documents, much bigger base-business profits and laundering-desk capacity, more dumpster cash, cheaper basic pistols with more spawns, and a daily fresh-server schedule (EU 5 PM UTC, East US 8 PM ET).
- ROB RUN error codes and how to fix themKefir's help center lists ROB RUN's error codes: E-0101/E-0110 can't reach the server (check your connection), E-0102 data blocked (public Wi-Fi, proxy or antivirus HTTPS scanning), E-0301/E-0302 outdated version (restart Steam and update), E-0303/E-0304 corrupted data (wait 10–15 minutes, verify files), E-0501/E-0502 Easy Anti-Cheat not running, E-0601 no keyboard and mouse (remote desktop or cloud streaming). Most fixes come down to verifying game files in Steam.
Crime & cops
- How to make money in ROB RUN▶ VideoStart with dumpsters (Kefir raised the cash in them at launch) and quiet corner stores, sell to the fence, and open a bank account. Next: an action camera (buy for 15,000, charges while you commit crimes, sells for 50,000+), cargo opened at your own workbench, and ATM events (150,000–500,000 but contested). Long term, base businesses — farms, labs — and settlement taxes earn while you're offline. Launder everything you want to keep.

You need it to launder money, bribe cops and create or join a clan. Laundering turns dirty cash into clean money in your account, which nobody can steal until the wipe: use the laundering desk at your base (keeps working while you're offline) or pay Lenny to do it before you own a base.
- ROB RUN heists: every robbery location in Looty Bay and how to hit them▶ VideoLooty Bay has 28 robbable locations in four districts: Loraine Hills (five mansions), Sunny Beach (hotels, strip club, west jewellery and gun stores), Parkside (Police Station, Art Gallery — the most loot spots) and Downtown (Looty Bay Bank, east jewellery store, gas station with two hidden rooms). To rob quietly: scout as a civilian, cut the alarm box, shoot the cameras, hold clerks at gunpoint, use lockpicks instead of breaking glass, and leave the city as soon as you're done.
- Playing as a cop in ROB RUN (and dealing with them as a criminal)You choose cop or criminal every time you enter Looty Bay. Cops get standard gear and a basic car from the state, earn from a cut of confiscated goods, arrests and bribes, and trade Police Badges for top-tier gear. Since launch, cops buy badges (choice depends on the district they live in), respawn more slowly after each death, and on a fresh server only have pistols until it ages. Caught as a criminal? Surrender and they only take your bag.
- ROB RUN jail and prison: what happens when you're arrested▶ VideoCornered by cops? Press Q to surrender: they take only your bag, you keep your equipped gear — or offer a bribe from your bank account (in 10,000 steps, up to 200,000) and leave with everything. Dying as a masked criminal or anywhere in the desert loses gear and bag; dying as a civilian in Looty Bay loses nothing. Prison sentences come from the Feds: the more you own when they confiscate it, the longer the sentence — and sentences unlock tattoos and items.
- Selling loot in ROB RUN: the fence, the smuggler van and cargo▶ VideoSell normal loot to the fence (the $ icon on the map) — you must be masked, so fences get camped. Sell bulky cargo (crates, safes, suitcases, statues) to the smuggler's van in the covered car parks, or open it at your own cargo workbench, which pays more since the Nov 5 balance patch. Settlement residents can also sell at their district's Sales Center for better prices. Pick up the cash pile right after a sale or someone else will.
- ROB RUN tools: lockpicks, decoders, keys and the suspicious barter door▶ VideoLockpicks (Black Market) open doors, containers and car trunks silently. Breach decoders open other players' base buildings and can't be bought in shops — you loot them or upgrade them by bartering. The suspicious door next to Lenny's Motel is a barter trader: 3 code tablets → glass cutter, action camera + 2 USB hacking tools + 50,000 → drill. Keys say what they open — don't sell them to the fence.
Bases & power
- The ROB RUN power pyramid: all five tiers and how to climbROB RUN has five tiers: Hobo (everyone starts here, living at Lenny's motel) → Settlement Resident (rent a plot, build a base) → Settlement Owner (buy a whole settlement, tax its residents) → District Owner (a clan controlling a district, taxing its settlement owners) → Shadow Governor — the leader of the clan holding the central Highlands district, which taxes every other clan. Only one exists per world.
- ROB RUN map: Looty Bay and the desert districtsROB RUN has two halves: Looty Bay, the coastal city where you rob places and cops patrol, and a lawless desert where everyone's bases sit. The desert is split into ten districts of hex settlements. On the store's map screenshot the central Highlands is Level 3, a ring of Rivertown, Fallrock and El Peso is Level 2, and the outer districts are Level 1. Higher levels unlock more features and better items.
- ROB RUN bases: how to get land, what to build and how raids workTo get a base you rent a plot in a settlement someone owns (since Nov 4, Tier 1 plots cost documents, not cash). The main building comes with a laptop, first-aid kit and cabinets; everything else — farms, labs, warehouses, garages, helipads, safes, workbenches — is placed from your inventory. Your base is a respawn point and you can move it any time. Raiders need breach decoders, which shops don't sell, and laundered cash can't be stolen.
- ROB RUN clans, parties and territoryA ROB RUN party is up to 3 players; a clan holds up to 100. Clans exist only on the server where they were created (for now), you can switch clans during a wipe cycle, and only clans can control districts — the clan holding the central Highlands taxes every other clan.
- How to buy land in ROB RUN: Land Plot Titles and Settlement Titles▶ VideoLand needs a title: a Land Plot Title (rent one plot) or a Settlement Title (buy a whole settlement). Research it in the Shipments tree (press H), then buy it separately — researching only unlocks it. The title's level must match the district's level. Carry it to a settlement someone owns, find the For Rent sign and place your base. Kefir's help center: plots in Level 2 and 3 districts need special documents from the Black Market; since Nov 4, Tier 1 land also costs documents rather than cash.
- ROB RUN vehicles: free cars, buying your own and the helicopterWhen you have no car in use, rent one free at the nearest Parking Terminal. To buy your own you need a plot with a house or garage; its key goes in the key locker. Modules fit the hood, trunk and underbody. You can only buy a helicopter if your base is in the central district (the Highlands) — or find one in loot — and it needs a helipad.

- Is ROB RUN free to play — and is it pay to win?Yes — ROB RUN is free to play on Steam (Early Access since Nov 4, 2026). It has in-app purchases, but Kefir says only cosmetic items are sold, with zero gameplay advantage, so it isn't pay to win as of launch. Steam reviews were around 60% positive (Mixed) in launch week.
- ROB RUN system requirementsMinimum: Windows 10 64-bit, Intel i5-6600K / Ryzen 5 1600, 12 GB RAM, GTX 1050 Ti / RX 580 / Arc A380. Recommended: i5-9600K / Ryzen 5 3600, 16 GB RAM, RTX 2070 / RX 5700 XT / Arc B570. Both need DirectX 11, a broadband connection and 20 GB of storage.
- Is ROB RUN on console? PS5, Xbox, Mac, controller and Steam DeckNo — ROB RUN is PC only. It's on Steam for Windows, and Kefir hasn't announced a PS5, Xbox, Switch, Mac or mobile version. Steam lists no controller support. Any 'ROB RUN APK' you find is not the official game.
