ROB RUN jail and prison: what happens when you're arrested
Updated · Crime & cops
Quick answer
Cornered by cops? Press Q to surrender: they take only your bag, you keep your equipped gear — or offer a bribe from your bank account (in 10,000 steps, up to 200,000) and leave with everything. Dying as a masked criminal or anywhere in the desert loses gear and bag; dying as a civilian in Looty Bay loses nothing. Prison sentences come from the Feds: the more you own when they confiscate it, the longer the sentence — and sentences unlock tattoos and items.

Cash on you is “dirty” and losable — in your bag, your trunk or on your body. Money laundered into your bank account can’t be stolen (bank & laundering).
Most Wanted: killing NPCs/civilians adds wanted points; at 3 your position shows to the whole city (players’ guides and fan data agree).
Players report quitting mid-crime doesn’t save you — criminals and clan-war fighters who log out die ⚠️ (one fan source).
The Feds and prison sentences
Ordinary arrests don’t send you to prison. Prison comes from the Feds, who sooner or later confiscate illegal holdings — and from the weekly wipe, when they take everything (wipe schedule).
Sentence length (fan data from game files ⚠️): minimum 1 year, +1 year per 500,000 of property in that state, max 40 years per state.
Kefir: “the more wealth you’ve accrued by the time the wipe hits, the longer your prison sentence will be.”
Sentence time = Authority: long sentences earn tattoos (never confiscated) and unlock some items in the Shipments tree next cycle.
You can also surrender to the Feds on purpose at the global-map prison — that’s how you change servers.
Smaller lock-ups
Civilians and cops also have a violations meter (running people over, damage, blocking roads). At 10 you’re held in the city lock-up for a while and can’t switch roles ⚠️ (fan data).
FAQ
What do you lose when you get arrested in ROB RUN?
Only your bag. If you surrender (Q) or are taken down and arrested, cops confiscate what's in your bag and you keep the gear you're wearing. A teammate can also break up the arrest.
Can you bribe cops in ROB RUN?
Yes — the bribe is paid from your bank account in steps of 10,000, up to 200,000. If the cop accepts, you leave with your bag and gear. Players say offers under 10,000 get ignored and suggest offering about a quarter of what you'd lose.
Do you lose everything when you die?
Depends on your status. Civilian in Looty Bay: nothing, you respawn at the hospital. Masked criminal: gear and bag. In the desert or a settlement (no cops, no protection): gear and bag too.
How long is a ROB RUN prison sentence?
Fan data from the game files: at least 1 year, plus 1 year per 500,000 of property in that state, up to 40 years per state. Kefir confirms the principle: the more wealth you hold when the wipe hits, the longer the sentence.
Is a long sentence bad?
Not really — sentence time works like prestige. Long sentences give tattoos (which can't be confiscated) and unlock some items in later cycles.
